Retro Games Update July 2021

Hello retro game family brining you the under the wire update for July 2021. Sadly a slow month for new physical retro game releases. I think the news I am most excited about this month is Evercade is releasing a new collection, the Renovation Collection I. They are also releasing later in the year a console version of their handheld which I may have mentioned in a previous post, its call the Evercade VS .

GOOD OL’ GAMES – GOG

Good Ol Games current weekend and weekly sale ends in 18 hours and there are some bangers on the list. They have a bunch of classic 90s adventure / Point-And-Click games, as well as some other great hits.

The weekly sale has War Craft, Wing Commander, Worms, Ultima, Jazz Jackrabbit and other greats. Many games are under $5 and its GoG so no DRM.

LIMITED RUN GAMES – LGR

The team at LGR currently have a physical cart for Tail Gator available for the Gameboy. Originally exclusive to Japan as Shippo de Bun this action game has power-ups and even some bosses. If you are a handheld gamer here is an opportunity to own an officially licensed version. Open pre-orders end August 8th so get it now before it goes to the scalpers graveyard.
